The original reconstruction from the author contained unconnected axon segments. These segments are connected in the Morphology file (Standardized) using an algorithm (Scorcioni R., Ascoli GA. Algorithmic reconstruction of complete axonal arborizations in rat hippocampal neurons. Neurocomputing, 65-66:15-22 (2005)).

In the Morphology file (Intermediate), the new segments added by the algorithm are assigned a distinct type (type 5) to distinguish them from the original axon segments which are assigned the usual type 2.
