Note :  This reconstruction was obtained from Drosophila embryos, which were dechorionated in 50% bleach for 4 min and rinsed with water 6.5 h after egg lay (stage 11-12 embryos). Serotonin hydrochloride (Sigma H9523) was suspended at 10 mM in sterile PBS prior to suspending in media at 25 micromolar final concentration and added to cultures either 2 or 16 h after plating.
