Note :  We injected a combination of dextran amine tracers, fluoroemerald and fluororuby. We used a cocktail of the 3KDA and 10kDA isoforms of dextran amines to ensure enhanced bidirectional retrograde and anterograde transport. For AMY injections, one penetration was made, delivering a total of 3 microliters of tracer into the basolateral complex. For each injection, the needle was left in situ for 5-10 mins to allow for diffusion and prevent upward suction of the dye upon retraction of the needle.
