Note :  Class IV ddaC neurons were visualized using ppkGal4,UAStdCD4GFP in live, wandering third instar larvae. GAL4/UAS experiments for ddaC neuron dendrite defects were performed at 29 C to increase GAL4 efficiency. To test if Shep and PABP function together in dendrite development, we examined the phenotype of neurons overexpressing pAbp in a genetic background heterozygous for shep.
