| Note : | When copulatory plugs were identified, we removed the sires, and added fentanyl to the water hydration pouches. We used 1, 10, or 100 mg/ml fentanyl citrate (calculated as free base) in 2% (w/v) saccharin in the water hydration pouches, which were replenished weekly until litters were weaned. |
