Digital Object Identifiers for early data access

A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a unique alphanumeric string that identifies electronically available content. DOIs are assigned by International DOI Foundation registrars and provide a persistent link to an Internet resource (URL).

NeuroMorpho.Org provides early access to original content submitted by data contributors through specifically minted database DOIs. Early data access DOIs are available upon request to nmadmin@gmu.edu.

The following information is required for minting a database DOI:

  • Creator - Name of the contributor's laboratory or research group.
  • Title - Publication PMIDs in which the data was used.
  • Year - Year of the associated publication(s).

Once the DOI is generated, data contributors will be contacted by email with the full URL.
