Data Submission Guide

NeuroMorpho.Org archives digital reconstructions of neuronal morphology that are traced into sequences of interconnected points or vectors (typically visualized as cylinders or truncated cones) as in the popular Neurolucida, Bitplane, NeuronJ, Amira, Eutectic systems. Surface contours (from electron-microscopy), voxel-based image stacks (from confocal microscopy) and pencil-on-paper tracings (using camera lucida) fall outside the scope of this database, unless they are also converted to vector format.

If you would like to contribute reconstructions to NeuroMorpho.Org, then please read the following:

  1. Please email the digital reconstruction files (zipped, if possible) to the following address: neuromorpho@gmail.com

  2. If practicable, please fill in as much information possible in this Metadata Form and include it in the email with the reconstruction files. The information listed in this form will be associated with your reconstructions. Any required information missing in the form will be filled in from your publication to the best of our abilities.

When we receive your files, the reconstructions will be added to the processing pipeline and you will receive a confirmation email from NeuroMorpho.Org.

If you have any questions regarding data submission, please email us at nmadmin@gmu.edu or neuromorpho@gmail.com.
