The effort of NeuroMorpho.Org to provide dense coverage of all available digital neuronal reconstructions has prompted an extensive search of the past three decades of literature. We have identified hundreds of papers that describe or utilize digital reconstructions of neuronal morphology.

The result of the literature mining process highlights the fact that numerous painstakingly acquired reconstructions are lost due to the lack of a systematized method for sharing computerized 3D data. If you know of a neuronal reconstruction that could be included in this inventory you can enter the PMID here to check whether it has been identified by us or not. If a publication has already been evaluated its status will be provided. If the publication has not been identified it will be added to our list for evaluation and inclusion in the processing pipeline.
