Contraction
This function returns the ratio between Euclidean distance of a branch and its path length.
Formula :
AE
AB + BC + CD + DE
AB + BC + CD + DE
Function Output Type : Real
Calculated : At each bifurcation point
Returns a value : For each branch
Output:
Metric | Total_Sum | #Compartments (considered) |
#Compartments (discarded) |
Minimum | Average | Maximum | S.D. |
Contraction | 84.1387 | 85 | (1017) | 0.887291 | 0.989867 | 1 | 0.019264 |
Values to consider : All
Output Interpretation :
Contraction can be calculated as ratio of Euclidean distance (AE) and Path Length (AB+BC+CD+DE).
Total_Sum = 84.1387 gives Total_Sum, Minimum = 0.887291 gives minimum, Maximum = 1 gives maximum for given input neuron.
References :
Closer is the value towards 1, lesser is the contraction. Closer is the value towards 0, more is the contraction.
